Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at quinn@dogslovequinn.com if you can't find an answer to your question.

Why get a dog walker or pet sitter?

Dogs are pack animals and I want to be part of your pack! Dogs need daily exercise and sometimes you are unavailable. That’s where I come in and offer them some exercise, a potty break and some extra love. I have time for slow walks, where your pup sniffs every blade of grass or fast-paced walks to get their energy out. For the drop-in visits, I can also feed them and put down fresh water. We can play and snuggle too! If you are busy at work, on the golf course or traveling, know that I will treat your animals like they’re my own. It’s true, Dogs Love Quinn!

Are you insured?

Yes! I am insured, bonded, background checked and have a business license from Palm Beach County.

What is your service area?

I live in The Acreage and currently service The Acreage, Ibis and surrounding areas in zip code 33412. I have a few clients in Westlake and Loxahatchee too.

Do you offer a Meet & Greet?

Yes, I offer a free Meet & Greet for my safety and yours before beginning services for your dog. We get to know each other, ask each other questions and most importantly, your dog and I get to meet!

Do you board?

I do not offer boarding at my house. Most dogs would prefer to be in their own homes anyway.

Do you do overnights?

I can but with a giant BUT! I have a 30 pound dog, Harley, who loves everyone, including dogs and cats. Assuming our animals get along, I would need to bring him with me for the overnights. He is a mama’s boy who has never been without me for the 10 years we’ve been in each other's lives. I have successfully done overnights with several easy-going dogs who love having Harley tag along.

Can you do something else for me that isn’t listed?

Just ask me! I can bring in and take out the trash cans and recycling bins, bring in the mail and packages, water plants, turn off/on lights and adjust blinds and curtains to make it appear someone is home and many other things you may need.

How far in advance should I schedule?

For holidays and vacations any time of the year, the sooner you let me know, the more likely I’ll be to have availability. I am a solo walker and sitter and my calendar fills up fast. I do have some colleagues in the business that I can refer you to if I’m unavailable. I can usually fit in last minute walks or drop-in visits if you can be flexible with the timing.

Do you have emergency plans in place?

Since I am a solo sitter, I have a plan in place if I am unable to make it to your home during an emergency situation. I have colleagues in the animal business that can help me out if I am unable to fulfill my duties. Because we have hurricanes, I also want to discuss plans with each client to see what they would like for me to do during a storm. Everyone has their own way of doing things and I want to respect their wishes.
